Clarks Women
Clarks' history dates back nearly 200 years ago to 1825 in a small village in Somerset, England. When James and Cyrus Clark designed a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts, it was ground-breaking; an innovative concept of craftsmanship was born. Their sheepskin slipper, dubbed the ‘Brown Petersburgh’, was a huge success. Within years of its unveiling, its unique design graced feet the length and breadth of the country, and by 1842, sales were averaging 1000 pairs a month. To this day, Clarks' original headquarters remain in Somerset, England. Maintaining Cyrus and James' original vision and passion nearly three centuries later, Clarks has accumulated an archive comprised of more than 22,000 styles of shoes that have gained international attention. In 2021, 8th St. by Ronnie Fieg for Clarks Originals was born. Comprised of entirely unique silhouettes, including the Sandford and Lockhill, the collection debuted a luxurious take on athletic footwear that embodied the brand's uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship.
